New ‘heir hunter’ organisation launches
A new independent body has been set up to represent researchers working in the probate genealogy industry.
The International Association of Professional Probate Researchers, Genealogists & Heir Hunters (IAPPR) was launched last week by Finders International – a company that features heavily in the BBC One series Heir Hunters.
While a number of representative bodies already exist for traditional genealogists, the IAPPR aims to be a
“single authoritative source of opinion and advice”
for researchers
“tracing the beneficiaries to unclaimed estates, assets and funds”.
